These pieces have a cyber-grunge vibe that seems to give a nod to a trend towards the macabre. After seeing this collection it made me think of the suiting that the "Programs" wore in TRON, which made me think of the fashion designer Gareth Pugh. I love the whole postapocalyptic feel created without sacrificing wearibility in the Chanel collection. It's hardcore from a distance but even the leather thigh high leggings still seem sexy and wearable.My favorite pieces from the Spring 2011 Chanel collection are the laser-cut leather gloves, leggings, skirts and dresses shown below. The fabrics used are sporty, tough, and sexy all at once.
